The ongoing bipartisan negotiations, according to Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, a close ally of President William Ruto, are a waste of time.
Ndindi, who has called for the negotiations to begin next week, believes that Kenyans voted last year and chose who they wanted to lead them.
The legislator believes that the bipartisan negotiations team's priority should be to cease the talks because they are pointless.

According to Ndindi, the country cannot be awakened every day and night by politics and struggles for leadership posts.
'The people who hired us, the wananchi, spoke last year and determined who will lead them and who will be the head of opposition or put the government on trial," he stated.
'So, without a doubt and with a great deal of surety, I, Ndindi Nyoro, and the people of Murang'a, Kiharu, and Kenya at large are imploring that when the discussions start tomorrow, the first agenda item should be to terminate the talks," he continued.
Speaking at St Mary's Catholic Cathedral in his Kiharu constituency, the MP urged the discussions to terminate, adding that the Kenya Kwanza administration should continue its development program for the mwananchi, such as road and water projects.
"We are against people talking, calling them bipartisan talks, and they should stop immediately because we don't need it as a country because all that Kenya needs is development," he said.
The bipartisan negotiations began on August 9 to break the government's and the opposition's deadlock.
The meetings occurred amid a wave of protests that left Kenyans dead or injured.
Official estimates show that at least 20 people have perished in the riots, but rights activists believe the death toll is significantly higher.
Residents have been terrified by the unrest in one of East Africa's most stable democracies, prompting calls for mediation to break the impasse.
According to a motion submitted in Parliament, the 10-member bipartisan team discussing the 2022 post-election problem will report to President William Ruto and Opposition leader Raila Odinga within 60 days.
The Azimio delegation is led by Kalonzo Musyoka and includes Opiyo Wandayi (deputy delegation leader), Amina Mnyazi, Eugene Wamalwa, and Okong'o Mogeni.
MP Kimani Ichung'wah, lead Kenya Kwanza, and its members include Cecily Mbarire (deputy delegation leader), Aaron Cheruiyot, Omar Hassan Omar, and Catherine Wambilianga.
