His presence at KICC marks an end to the African Youth Climate Summit, where he received a declaration from the youths.

The youth declaration calls for the establishment of an assembly for coordinating youth climate governance, a global green bank to represent youth interests.

The group also lobbies for a UN youth office to be domiciled in Africa.

The closure marks the beginning of the Africa Climate Summit will take place from September 4 and September 6.
