The United States of America will donate $100 million (Sh14.7 billion) to the Kenyan government to help with its mission in Haiti.
Over 1,000 police personnel will be sent to Haiti by President William Ruto to help the nation regain its security and stability.
A Kenyan security team in Haiti in August to conduct an evaluation trip informed Ruto on their findings.
On their visit of Haiti, the crew encountered Prime Minister Ariel Henry, officials of his administration, and representatives of the High Council of the Transition (HTC).

During his trip to New York last week, Ruto promised to help the proposed UN Security Mission to Haiti, which Kenya will lead.
After speaking with President Luis Abinader of the Dominican Republic, he announced.
"We agreed to cooperate in bringing stability and peace to Haiti. The Dominican Republic will open a mission in Nairobi in appreciation, Ruto added.
Joe Biden, the US President, praised the choice made by the head of state.
According to Biden, the international organization must continue to uphold peace, avert violence, and lessen suffering worldwide.
"We embrace nations stepping up to lead new ways and to seek new breakthroughs on hard issues. For example in Haiti, the Caribbean communities facilitated a dialogue among Haitian society," Biden said.
"I thank President William Ruto of Kenya for his willingness to serve as the lead nation of a UN-backed security support system."
In his visit of Kenya on Monday, Defence Cabinet Secretary Austin Lloyd stated that Kenya would be prepared to play a significant leadership role in bringing peace to Haiti when the projected peacekeeping force there had completed all legal criteria.
He declared, "This will completely respect the human rights of all Haitian civilians."
Austin applauded Kenya's initiative and dedication to bringing about peace in Haiti.
"To ensure the success of the peace support mission, the US shall contribute financially and logistically."
Austin also praised Kenya as a strategic ally throughout the years, noting that the country's efforts to combat the al-Shabaab militia have significantly impacted the terror organization's repression.
“I thank the Kenyan government for hosting US Forces at Manda Bay and the commitment to shared security. Signing a Framework for Defence Cooperation between our two countries reinforces the importance of our strategic partnership,” he said.
