Kakamega Senator and Majority Whip Boni Khalwale has revealed the three hard truths he has learned from the chambers of of Turkana County Assembly. Throughout his official X account, Khalwale elaborated his 3 findings from Turkana.


Truth Number 1

Khalwale asserts that despite the presence of the Turkwel Hydroelectric Power Station and the Lake Turkana Wind Power Project in this region, the county remains unconnected to the national power grid. The senator contends that this stands as a significant failure on the part of successive national administrations.

Truth Number 2

Senator Khalwale further points out that despite the substantial allocation of devolved funds to Turkana county over the last 11 years, access to water remains a pressing issue for the residents. The senator directs a query to Governor Nanok, seeking an explanation for this, considering his ten-year tenure as governor.



Truth Number 3

The majority whip discusses Tullow Oil Company, highlighting their confirmation of extensive oil reserves in Lokichar, stretching for kilometers to Lake Turkana. He then addresses the president, emphasizing that it is now imperative for him to take action. "President Ruto, Kazi Kwako," tweets Khalwale.
