Zetech University is set to offer its inaugural Doctorate Degree Program starting January 2024, hosted in the School of Business and Economics.

This follows a regulatory approval of the University’s application by the Commission for University Education.

In a statement on Monday, Zetech said the newly approved Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration & Management (Ph.D. BAM).

 Zetech University Vice Chancellor Prof. Njenga Munene said the Program aims to produce doctoral graduates who are problem solvers and innovative change agents both in academia and the practical business administration and management field.

”After a robust assessment and engagement, the Commission for University Education was satisfied that Zetech University has adequate facilities, human, library and financial resources, and consequently approved the university’s request to offer a PHD Program. This approval comes as Zetech University celebrates 25 years of scholarly excellence,’’ the institution said.

Further, the Vice Chancellor said the PhD in Business Administration and Management Program targets professionals, scholars, and executives who would want to advance in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology, Strategic Management, Procurement, Supply Chain and Logistics, Financial Management and Investments, Human Resource Management, Business Intelligence, and Data Analytics.

He also noted that the approval of the program by the commission cements its commitment to providing innovative and market-driven programmes that are market driven.

“The approval of this program by the CUE is a public acceptance and confirmation that Zetech University is committed to meeting the standards of academic excellence set by the Commission for University Education,” he said.

In line with their areas of specialization, the Ph.D. candidates would be able to analyze current company management and administration difficulties through the program, according to him.

The school stated that additional requirements for the students include researching potential answers, analyzing business issues, and developing workable solutions.

The university hopes the programme will equip students with the necessary skills to build meaningful networks and associations at local and international academic fora where they will be ready to analyze sizable quantitative & qualitative data sets for data-driven decision-making.
