Mumias  East Member of Parliament (MP), Peter Kalerwa Salasya, announced that he generously gifted his constituents on Christmas Day by purchasing sugar from the local industry, Mumias Sugar, at a cost exceeding 1 million.

In a post shared on his social media pages on Wednesday, January 17, 2023, MP Peter Salasya made it clear that he differs from Governor Barasa. He showcased the payment slip of the sum he disbursed, surpassing 1 million, to Mumias Sugar Co.

“When I decided to gift my constituents on Christmas Day, I bought Mumias Sugar from Mumia Sugar Co. costing over 1 Million, I can't locate all the payment slips but here are some of them worth Ksh. 77,000 and another worth Ksh. 320,000. I ain't Governor Barasa who has gone to collect handouts. ” the part caption read.

He also said that next is a level 4 hospital next to Shianda KMTC.

“I repeat, join my political rhetoric or perish, next is a level 4 hospital next to Shianda KMTC. ” He concluded.
