During a "fireside chat" at the Moms for Liberty annual gathering in Washington, D.C., former President Donald Trump shared several new claims about his daughter Ivanka Trump's role in his administration. Trump revealed that he initially wanted to appoint Ivanka as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, believing she would excel in the role.

However, Ivanka opted instead to focus on job creation, visiting major companies like Walmart and Exxon to encourage them to hire more people. Trump claimed that through her efforts, Ivanka "hired millions of people."

He also highlighted Ivanka's decision to step away from her successful shoe and fashion business, which closed in 2018 due to declining sales, to take on a more hands-on role in his administration.

The audience at the Moms for Liberty event was notably quiet on Trump's claims about Ivanka, prompting the conversation to shift to other topics. Trump criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her a "Marxist" and a "defective person," and accused her of avoiding debates. He also condemned gender-affirming surgeries, before diverting into various other subjects, including his Scottish heritage and his parents' long marriage, which he described as a love story spanning six and a half decades.

Trump concluded by asserting that many of the "biggest, smartest, most brilliant leaders" have roots in Scotland, emphasizing the country's significant contributions to American leadership.
