The former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi has it from Cherargei, who tells him to "lick some glucose" by Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei because the travel was still long and he would need the energy.
In a statement, Cherargei alleged that the former CS had ordered Matiangi's arrest at night in April 2022 in response to the events of Wednesday night, when elite police officers invaded his Karen house.
"Despite court orders to the contrary, Matiangi ordered my arrest late on April 21. I was held at the Capitol Hill Police Station until 6 p.m. and then at the Gigiri Police Station until the following Monday. What makes him so unique? The voyage is still long. Let him lick glucose, approximately translated as "Bado safari ni mbali alambe glucose," Cherargei tweeted.

The Senator, a fierce opponent of the previous administration, added that Matiangi had forced him to spend the entire weekend in police detention while disobeying every court order.
Without going into specifics, Cherargei had another message for Raila Odinga, the leader of the opposition who became the first politician to voice his objection to Matiangi's impending arrest: money laundering, misuse of power, and corruption are all crimes that are penalized by the law.
Although there is currently no clear explanation for the security forces raid on Matiangi's residence, reports indicated that it might have something to do with the Ruaraka land dispute.
However, contrary to what Matiangi's attorneys said, no law enforcement officers were dispatched to search Matiangi's residence on Wednesday night, according to the Oversight Committee of Police Japhet Koome.
After hearing rumours that security forces had surrounded Matiangi's house intending to arrest him, Koome made his statement a few hours later.
Lawyers for Matiangi, led by Danstan Omari, camped at the Karen residence on the purported night of the raid, claimed their client's life was in danger and accused the police of harassing them.
