While Speaking to citizen tv, cherargei said that officers stormed into his home and found him naked. They later bundled him into a car that was waiting nearby.

Samson suggests that he was arrested naked in his bed on April 21, 2022, sick. Adding that number of police walked to his bed at his residence, drove him for over five hours to Nairobi, and dumped him at Capital Hill police station. Cherargei adds that he went to court and that they gave an order that he be taken to the hospital because he had food poisoning.

cherargei went ahead to say that he was taken to Gigiri police station, and a phone call came from former IG Hillary Mutyambai and Matiang'i that the OCS should ignore the court order adding that he stayed there up until Monday when the magistrate ordered that he goes to checkup.

He says that he is still traumatized today because of embarrassment. He says he felt so indignified and bad; because he was a leader. He added that he went to counselling because of the trauma.

cherargei now says that the shoe is on the hand and that they should also let officers do their job because matiangi once said that officers should be left to do their job

Cherargei claims that he does not believe this is political persecution and that it is the same Fred Matiang'i who once said that if the police are looking for you and you have not committed an offence, there is no problem. And it is a culture that Kenyans have developed over time. He concluded by questioning Matiang'i's refusal to release Video evidence. He also stated that he refuses to turn over the video because the raid never occurred.
