Ousted Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni is now accusing president ruto of poaching opposition legislators to change the constitution and remove the presidential term limit.
While speaking to national television, kioni said that rutos interest in the opposition is a concerted effort to gain numbers in parliament to smooth the way for Constitutional amendment, which he and the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition have vowed to oppose.
"They will amend the law from the floor of the House to remove the term limit and there will not be room for a referendum. We will all be left running to courts to challenge that amendment," he said.
Jeremiah added, "They gave this hint when they first came to power. That is why Ruto wants to achieve an absolute majority by all means to effect the amendment through parliament."
