Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua clarified that no one plotting something bad against President William Ruto will succeed.

Speaking at an interdenominational church service at Kapsabet in Nandi County on Sunday, the second in command stressed that he is determined to keep those plotting to destabilise the president at bay, claiming that he will protect him at any cost.

"Whoever is planning something against president Ruto should be prepared to face me because that is my job. My work is to protect him," he said.

Deputy gachagua went on to dismiss the countrywide demonstrations led by Azimio la Umoja coalition leader Raila Odinga, claiming that they only intended to force a handshake with the current regime.

DP Gachagua was adamant that he would not give Raila the joy of achieving a handshake, adding that he would be held accountable if this occurred.

"This man is trying to force a handshake. And I have placed traps around State House so wherever he is seen he is grasped because if we allow him into our government he will destroy it," he said.

"Also Mr.President if you might be having plans to have a handshake with him I will not accept that." gachagua added

Gachagua went on to blame former president uhuru kenyatta for sponsoring azimio protests. He went on to say that kenya was very nice to him. They made him a king. He added that uhuru left kenyans with nothing and the little that is remaining for hustlers, he is giving Raila Odinga and his people to come and destroy it.
