Anti-government protesters have reportedly destroyed a recently opened nightclub named Pit Stop Dala in Kisumu, which is claimed to be owned by comedian-turned-politician Jalang'o.
Because Jalang'o did not support ODM party leader Raila Odinga's Protest idea, who called for nationwide mass action today, enraged protesters are said to have targeted the club.
Jalang'o was chosen to represent Langata in parliament last August on the ODM ticket. Still, in February, he crossed party lines to attend a meeting with President William Ruto at the State House and joined a group of rebel party members. Jalang'o and the ODM rebels were instantly denounced by Raila Odinga, who even demanded their expulsion from the party.
