The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party has criticized Raila Odinga's demands for negotiations with the government as unreasonable.

UDA rejected Azimio's demands in a statement released by the party's secretary general on Tuesday, saying that the party led by President Ruto will not be intimidated into using unconstitutional bargaining tactics.

Malala claims that Odinga's demands are meant to pressure the government to give Azimio a share of the authority.

"Raila Odinga has verified our worst suspicions that Maadamano was not sincere from the start but rather a bold thirst and greed for power through the back door in his remarks. Raila Odinga has shown his willingness to hold the Bipartisan Parliamentary Process as proposed by the President at ransom by making these irrational demands, he claimed.

"Forming anybody not recognized by the Constitution or statutory law is equivalent to living in a utopia and hallucinating in broad daylight. We want to make it clear that, as a party, we will not accept any procedure that violates established law or falls outside the scope of the Constitution.

Malala emphasized that the President's recent request for communication with the leader of the Azimio should not be interpreted as a cowardly act.

"We urge Raila Odinga to acknowledge that a legitimate administration in Kenya is carrying out its pre-election agenda and keeping its commitments to the public. He said he must not interpret the President's extended olive branch during this Holy Month as a cowardly gesture.

Malala's comments follow Odinga's statement that Azimio desired a national discussion such as the one held in 2008 under the late President Mwai Kibaki and headed by Koffi Anan.

"Our recommendation is to engage in national dialogue using a procedure similar to the 2008 National Accord. In order to do this, the coalition suggests a team made up of members both inside and outside of Bunge "Odinga stated on Tuesday.

Also, President Ruto has clarified that he and the Azimio leader would not shake hands.
