Cosmo Choy, a diehard supporter of President William Ruto, has openly voiced his criticism towards him for not fulfilling the promises he made during his presidential campaign. As a Kenyan residing in the United States, Choy had previously endorsed Ruto's bid for the presidency, believing it would bring significant benefits to ordinary citizens.

However, Choy's stance has now shifted, and he has chosen to publicly express his disappointment in Ruto's failure to deliver on his pledges. This turn of events highlights the importance of holding leaders accountable and the impact it can have on the perceptions and support of passionate followers.

Choy's criticism serves as a reflection of the expectations that come with political leadership and the responsibility leaders have to honour their commitments. It also demonstrates the complexities and evolving dynamics of political alliances as individuals reevaluate their support based on the actions and performance of those they once endorsed.

However, Choy thinks that after nine months in office, Ruto's leadership has accomplished nothing outstanding. He based his argument on the continually dropping value of the US dollar relative to the Kenyan shilling.

"I was one of the proponents of this government, but I have to speak out when things are not going well. For instance, the shilling is constantly losing ground to the dollar. Since Uhuru left, things have gotten worse.

The outspoken political zealot also blasted the administration for avoiding austerity measures although the economy was doing poorly.

"A lot of money is being used improperly. When MPs receive millions for their homes and vehicles, many Kenyans go to bed hungry. We need to reduce our spending, he remarked.

He pleaded with the president to reduce the current spate of overly long travel by government personnel.

Choy claims that although the trips haven't yet yielded results, government money is still being "dissipated."
