Azimio La Umoja, One Kenya Alliance, has responded to the release of a Kamba song that criticizes President William Ruto for his promises to uplift hustlers but allegedly appointing non-hustlers to key positions in his cabinet. The song incorporates Kamba beats and production to convey its message.

"Kumbe mama mboga alikuwa ni Aisha Jumwa, Kumbe mama mboga alikuwa ni Peninah Malonza. Mtu wa bodaboda alikuwa ni Alfred Mutua, mtu wa baiskeli alikuwa ni Ababu Namwamba. Mtu wa juakali alikuwa ni Kithure Kindiki. Mwanabiashara mdogo alikuwa ni Moses Kuria...Hustler mashinani..alikuwa ni Aden Duale." The song went on.

This song was released at a time when President William Ruto has come under fire for allegedly siding with hustlers, particularly in the wake of the finance bill's adoption, which is expected to drive up the cost of basic goods.

On June 27, 2023, Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Alliance will conduct a demonstration at Kamukunji Grounds in anticipation of more protests against the bill's passing.
