Lovy Longomba, the renowned singer who transitioned into a prophet, and his girlfriend Prophetess Maggy exchanged wedding vows in an exclusive ceremony held in California. The revelation of their marriage came from Big Ted, the current Consular General in Los Angeles, who shared the news with the public.

Lovy Longomba relocated to the United States over 15 years ago, where he has successfully established a thriving church called Revelation Church, attracting a significant following.

Prior to his move, Lovy and his late brother Christian enjoyed great fame in the Kenyan entertainment industry, releasing hit songs such as "Vuta Pumzi."

Lovy and his brother Christian moved to the US after discovering they were not being adequately compensated for their talent, according to an earlier interview with Jalang'o.

"We left because we felt that what we were doing was not getting enough reward at that time," Lovy said.

Lovy Longomba expressed that their decision to relocate to the United States provided them with opportunities for personal growth and a broader global presence.

According to Lovy, the Kenyan entertainment industry lacks proper organization, making it challenging for artists like Nameless to achieve the same level of success as someone like Diamond.

Tragically, in 2020, Lovy experienced the loss of his brother, Christian. Christian was hospitalized for two weeks before his passing in Los Angeles, USA. Lovy shared that he fervently prayed, hoping that his brother would not transition to the afterlife, but ultimately, his days had come to an end.

"My brother fought for a long time. Sometimes to know things prophetically is not always the best, but God knows. On the day that he was leaving, God spoke to me and told me, Christian is leaving today," Lovy said.

"I tried everything, spiritually, physically, and materially to keep him here, but man, when God speaks, God speaks and there is nothing you can do about it and it is always for the better. Even in this, Jesus is still glorified."

On Saturday, Christian Hulu of the renowned musical group Longombas passed away. His brother Lovy was by his side as he passed away.

"I'm not crying because I don't know where Christian is, I know where he is, God told me exactly when it was going to happen, we are not surprised by it, you know, living through it is a different thing," Lovy said.

Following Christian's battle with a brain tumour, he underwent surgery in an attempt to remove it. Sadly, after his passing, Lovy took to Instagram to inform their fans and followers about his brother's demise. The news deeply affected Kenyans who greatly admired the Longomba brothers. Messages of condolences and support poured in from across the country, offering solace to the grieving Longomba family.

"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. I love you, Christian, my brother, my friend, and my partner, but Jesus loves you more. Enjoy Heaven."

"Christian was well-loved and we celebrate his gifts and talents that he shared with the entire world. With great love and appreciation for the support and love shown to Christian by fans, family, and friends, we kindly ask for privacy during this time. God bless you all, Longomba family," the statement from the family read.

The Longomba brothers decided to move to America some fifteen years ago, at the height of their success in the East African music scene. They admitted that the music business wasn't as lucrative back then as it is now.

The Longombas come from a well-known musical family background. Their father, Lovy Longomba Snr, was a member of the popular Congolese Lingala band Super Mazembe, while their grandfather, Vicky Longomba, was a part of the TPOK Jazz band.

Notably, Congolese soukous legend Awilo Longomba is their uncle, and their cousin is Nasty Thomas, a former member of the Deux Vulture duo.
