Celebrated athlete Eliud kipchoge wins the 2023 Berlin Marathon after clocking 2:02:42 to retain his title.

Vincent Kipkemboi finished second, while Ethiopian Tadese Takele, another newcomer, finished third.

Tigist Assefa of Ethiopia broke the women's marathon record in Berlin on Sunday, finishing in 2:11:53, more than two minutes faster than the previous record.
