A 28-year-old woman from Trans Nzoia was on Friday stabbed to death by a man suspected to be her lover at the Kiminini business center within Trans Nzoia.
Kiminini OCPD John Onditi confirmed the incident, saying angry residents attacked the suspect, beating him to a pulp, but he was rescued by police officers who arrived at the scene.
“The suspect attacked the woman at her work place, and stabbed her repeatedly with a knife. The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital, but she died while undergoing treatment,” said Onditi.
According to police, the man and his victim may have argued earlier – before he followed her to work and fatally stabbed her.
The body of the deceased was taken to St. Michael Kiminini Hospital mortuary.

The suspect is receiving treatment at the Trans Nzoia district hospital.
Onditi has urged couples to resolve their differences peacefully instead of resorting to acts of violence that could lead to death or injuries.
