A man has been arrested after being accused of being part of a gang that has been terrorizing Kericho residents.
Felicien Nafula, the Mogotio police chief, claimed a weapon was discovered from the suspect, Viliano Ruto.
"A vehicle being used by the suspects, registration number KDL 714P, was towed to the police station," police added.
The suspects escaped from Kituro on the Mogotio-Molo River-Eldama Ravine road but abandoned their car after a tire broke.
"One suspect, who had fled on foot was arrested and his pistol, serial number 710788, recovered. It was loaded with two rounds of ammunition," officers added.

Once the inquiry is completed, the culprit will be prosecuted. Police officers are still searching for the rest of the gang members.
