Homicide detectives have identified the primary suspect in the brutal murders of two women and a young girl in Eastleigh, whose bodies were discovered on October 24. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) released a photo of 24-year-old Hashim Dagane Muhumed, who is believed to have been driving the car used to abduct the victims on October 21.

CCTV footage shows a Nissan Note picking up the victims from their Eastleigh home just hours before their bodies were found in various locations. The vehicle was later abandoned at Wakulima Market near the ENA Coach stage and has since been towed to DCI Headquarters for forensic analysis.

The DCI is urging the public to come forward with any information that could help apprehend Hashim Muhumed, as they currently have one suspect in custody.

While the three victims were laid to rest at Lang'ata Cemetery, police returned to several crime scenes for further investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that the suspect refueled the vehicle after disposing of a body in Machakos County.

Among those questioned is an accomplice who was in contact with Muhumed on the night of the murders; the two also shared a rented house in Eastleigh. The landlord, who reportedly rented the property to the suspect without proper documentation, has also provided a statement.

Additionally, police arrested two individuals from Nairobi’s CBD who sold the suspect a mobile phone valued at Ksh.23,000. The suspect had left a mobile number belonging to a woman at the shop. Detectives have expanded their investigation to Bahati in Buruburu, where they collected more evidence.
