Authorities in Suna East, Migori County, are searching for a man accused of killing his 3-year-old stepson after a domestic dispute with the child's mother.
According to Sagegi A. Assistant Chief Daniel Osika, the suspect, identified as Josephat Nyabioya, allegedly attacked the boy hours after a heated argument with his wife, Juliet Nyaboke.
The man, who had been cohabiting with Nyaboke for a year, is not the biological father of her two children.

Reports indicate that the tragic incident unfolded after Nyabioya locked the children in their house following the quarrel. The stepdaughter, sensing imminent danger, managed to escape through a window but could not rescue her younger brother.
The boy’s body was discovered the following morning by his mother, who had returned home intending to reconcile with her husband. With the door locked from the inside, neighbors helped break it down, revealing the lifeless child covered with clothes on the floor.
The suspect remains at large as police intensify their search, with local authorities urging the public to provide any information that could lead to his capture.
