Jeff Mwathi's death topic has been in the news for quite some time. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) homicide squad said after Jeff's body was exhumed, their three-week probe into the strange passing of the late interior designer Jeff Mwathi was coming to a close.
DCI claim that on February 22, 2023, Jeff Mwathi, a 23-year-old man, was killed before being thrown from the 10th-floor window of the residence of Mugithi artist Lawrence Njuguna, aka DJ Fatxo, in Kasarani.
The DCI was requested by its boss, Amin Mohammed, to look into the death after it aroused public indignation.

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations exhumed the body of slain interior designer Geoffrey Mwathi (Jeff) at his parents' home in Likia, Njoro sub-county, Nakuru County.
The body was exhumed for a fresh autopsy, as part of the ongoing investigations into his mysterious death.
Figures of interest in the case is Mugithi singer DJ Fatxo, his driver, and his cousin. The singer's cousin and driver were at the residence with the two women.
According to authorities, Jeff saw the musician hours earlier to discuss an interior design project. He was assured that he would receive a down payment and start working that morning.
The grandmother of Jeff Mwathi has cast a curse on those responsible for her grandson's passing. The grandma in a video going viral on social media, said that she hopes the people responsible for Jeff's killing never find peace and that Jeff's blood may follow them wherever they go.
The grandmother talked angrily about her loss of Jeff, and her want for the killers to live out the remainder of their lives behind bars.
