Two people have been arrested by officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) for allegedly impersonating Immigration officials at Nyayo House and attempting to scam a Norwegian national of Ksh.370,000.
Patrick Kizengwa Kilaya and Billy Kidula Adingo, the suspects, were apprehended on Thursday for allegedly extorting money from the public while claiming to be able to produce passports and work permits in a short time.
According to the EACC, the couple was arrested after the victim chose to submit the situation to the commission rather than pay the bribe.
