On Friday, two siblings in Gitamaiyu village, Kiambu County, passed away after falling into a well at a farm.
One of the six- and eight-year-old brothers fell into the well while they were out gathering firewood.
Attempting to save his brother, the other sibling also fell into the well and perished.
The brothers were in the company of a friend who rushed to report the incident to the family.
Area Chief Maina Mwangi instructed the management to cover all wells dug on the property and put all other security measures in place while verifying the incident.
