The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has recovered several pieces of public land worth Ksh.3.2 billion from grabbers in Eldoret.
The recovered land was originally owned by the Judiciary, Administration Police, Uasin Gishu Referral Hospital, County Fire Station, and the County Assembly of Uasin Gishu.
According to EACC Spokesperson Eric Ngumbi, the land was taken by private companies owned by well-known individuals in collaboration with corrupt land officials.

Ngumbi revealed that some of the recovered land included a residential house that housed the Judge of the Environment and Land Court in Eldoret.
He also revealed that 97 other properties worth Ksh.7.4 billion that are currently in private hands in Eldoret Town are being investigated for recovery and return to the public.
The anti-corruption watchdog has been working overtime to recover grabbed or stolen public assets, particularly those obtained through collusion with public officials.
