Ian Njoroge, the man accused of brutally assaulting a traffic police officer in Mirema, claims that he was mistreated while in police custody.
Duncan Okatch and Vincent Lempaa testified before Magistrate BenMark at the Milimani law courts that Njoroge, 19, was abused in his home at the time of the arrest.
A brief video of Njoroge being interviewed was also shown in court, which the prosecution claimed was obvious evidence of abuse because the cops threw obscenities at him.

"What the complainant did to him in that car, I can say he was manhandled by the complainant," the court was told.
"The accused is a first-year student in one of the public universities and he has a future that he is pursuing, he has parents and was arrested in the house of the parents. At the station he was beaten and the clothes he was on were blood stained."
Njoroge pleaded not guilty to robbery with violence, causing serious bodily harm, and resisting arrest.
He is accused of committing the charges on Kamiti Road in Kasarani on Sunday of this year when he was witnessed punching a police officer during a traffic stop.
The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) requested that Njoroge be detained for three days while the investigating officer finishes the investigations.
