The Kabarnet-Eldama Ravine road developed a huge crack on Monday morning at the Kimungur corner following the heavy rainfall in Kabarnet.
As a result of the rains, authorities have urged motorists plying the route to be careful.
Several cracks have been seen on the road, with fears that it could be cut off.
Those traveling from Eldama Ravine through Saos road are asked to be careful and if possible, divert to use the Marigat highway.
