The military intelligence service of Lithuania projected that Moscow had the means to continue the war in Ukraine for another two years on Thursday.

Elegijus Paulavicius, the head of military intelligence, told reporters that Russia had been amassing weaponry and equipment throughout the lengthy Cold War.

We predict that its resources would last an additional two years of fighting with the same intensity as now.

He pointed out that the evaluation assumed that Moscow wouldn't receive military assistance from any other nation.

He claimed that Russia might "do enormous harm and increase the price of restoration" with the arsenal of weapons it has on hand.

He addressed a presentation of their annual report with his colleague from civilian intelligence.

In addition to the resource estimates, the report asserted that Russia's mobilization in the previous year demonstrated that support for the conflict in Ukraine "is not as vast as the regime's propaganda tried to make it seem.

According to the document, opposition to the regime's policies manifests mainly through avoidance of mobilization and complaints about inadequate supplies and organizational chaos in the army.

It also raised the prospect that Russia's failures on the battlefield, more significant mobilization and unexpected deterioration of the economic situation "might have catastrophic ramifications for the regime's stability".

Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February of last year, Lithuania, a member of the European Union and NATO, has supported Ukraine significantly.
