Digital Strategist Dennis has been nominated for the  Chief Administrative Secretary(CAS) in the Ministry of Information and Communication and Digital Economy.

Itumbi was very instrumental in Ruto’s win in the 2022 presidential elections. His appointment comes a month after he was appointed to the Talanta Hela Council

Former Starehe MP Charles Njagua, popularly known as Jaguar, has also been nominated as the Chief Administrative Secretary in the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the Arts and Sports.

The two close Ruto allies were nominated alongside 48 others whose names were submitted to Parliament for vetting on Thursday.

"It is notified that His Excellency Hon William Samoei Ruto, following the recommendation of the Public Service Commission has today 16th March 2023 nominated various persons as Chief Administrative Secretaries," Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei said in a communication to Parliament.

“By dint of the executive action, the nominations have been transmitted to the national Assembly for consideration and approval by Parliament in accordance with the Public Appointments Act,” Koskei added.

The nominations are in line with Article 132(4)(a) of the Constitution.

Itumbi was shortlisted for the CAS position and was interviewed on March 1.
