On Monday, March 20, 2023, a sizable demonstration was planned by the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party. To address the planned protest, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has prepared a thorough plan.

The coalition's main figurehead and ODM leader Raila Odinga will be followed to State House by a march to his Karen home.

Cleophas Malala, the party's secretary general, promised the opposition leader that he would personally accompany UDA supporters to Karen and that the government would supply him with enough security personnel for the protests.

Malala advised the opposition leader to forbid his followers from engaging in acts of violence and property destruction.

He was addressing a gathering of UDA Machakos county delegates at the Machakos University Amphitheatre Hall to inform them about the upcoming party grassroots elections.

Malala advised the people of Machakos, "Na msidanganywe eti muende maandamano... (Don't be duped into taking part in the demonstrations)".
