Raila Odinga, the leader of Azimio One Kenya, made a significant appearance at the burial of Mukami Kimathi, arriving just an hour after President William Ruto had already arrived. Raila was warmly welcomed by the mourners, and he exchanged greetings with Ruto, Gachagua, and Musalia Mudavadi. The President had arrived at the home of Field Marshall Mukami Kimathi in Njabini earlier that morning, shortly after 10:30 am.

President William Ruto arrived at the burial of Mukami Kimathi in Njabini, accompanied by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, and other high-ranking government officials. Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga also arrived at the burial just minutes after Raila's arrival.

It is worth noting that Maina Njenga had recently alleged that security officers had raided his homes in Laikipia and Nairobi on Friday morning, with the motive behind the raids unclear. Njenga claimed that the alleged raids were linked to the funeral of Mukami Kimathi, which was held on May 13 in Njabini, Kinangop.

" These are plans to stop me from attending. I want to tell whoever is behind the raids that I will be attending the funeral," he said on Friday.
