The town of Ngong will soon have a library after the Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua, paid Sh500,000 for the construction site clearance on Friday.
During the homecoming ceremony of Forestry PS Ephantus Kimotho Kimani one and a half weeks ago, the DP promised to help the youth of Ngong in the Kajiado North constituency have a library.
Onesmus Ngogoyo, MP for Kajiado North, received the money from the DP and gave it to a group of kids who helped clean the building site.
"I am happy to announce that the Deputy President has fulfilled his pledge to the construction workers who willingly cleared the way for the building of a modern library in Ngong for the people of Kajiado North through my office," he added.

"I express profound appreciation to them for working together with my office in realizing our shared vision," Ngogoyo stated.
Ngogoyo stated that the library would be constructed of steel containers and wood.
"For the work that will take the least amount of time, we will bring in steel freight containers and wood." "The facility will benefit our students and young people in college," he stated.
