Hon. Alinur Mohamed took to his official Twitter page to express his reaction shortly after Transparency International Kenya decided to withdraw the 2019 Leadership Integrity Award (State/Public Officer) previously granted to DPP Noordin Haji.

In his tweet, Hon. Alinur Mohamed described Transparency International's decision to revoke Noordin Haji's award as a clear indication of harassment and intimidation.

"The Somali community has been part and parcel of the Kenyan nation since time immemorial. The fear and mistrust of the Somalis by a section of people is mainly driven by prejudice and ignorance". Said Hon. Alinur Mohamud.

Transparency International Kenya has justified its decision to withdraw the 2019 Leadership Integrity Award (State/Public Officer) bestowed upon DPP Noordin Haji by citing concerns and complaints expressed by members of the public and integrity-focused partners in Kenya.

"We will not allow people and organizations like Transparency International Kenya to harass and intimidate our son, Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji. There are better ways to address issues without profiling certain communities," he tweeted.

His words come after senior counsel Ahmednasir expressed a similar opinion through his official Twitter Account."When hitherto credible institutions are captured by small minds and petty tribal interests that are consumed but Somali phobia and xenophobia...hate them or not! SOMALIS ARE HERE TO STAY!" tweeted Nasir
