Hon. Alinur Mohamed took to his official Twitter page to express his reaction shortly after Transparency International Kenya decided to withdraw the 2019 Leadership Integrity Award (State/Public Officer) previously granted to DPP Noordin Haji.
In his tweet, Hon. Alinur Mohamed described Transparency International's decision to revoke Noordin Haji's award as a clear indication of harassment and intimidation.
"The Somali community has been part and parcel of the Kenyan nation since time immemorial. The fear and mistrust of the Somalis by a section of people is mainly driven by prejudice and ignorance". Said Hon. Alinur Mohamud.
Transparency International Kenya has justified its decision to withdraw the 2019 Leadership Integrity Award (State/Public Officer) bestowed upon DPP Noordin Haji by citing concerns and complaints expressed by members of the public and integrity-focused partners in Kenya.
