Twitter Chief executive officer Elon Musk announced that the application will delete 1.5 billion inactive Twitter accounts.
 Announcing on Twitter on Friday, Musk said that the targeted accounts are those which have been left dormant for years.



Further, he added that the accounts to be deleted are those without tweets and log-ins for years.



Musk became the owner and CEO of Twitter on October 27, after acquiring the social media company.
The latest announcement is part of the new changes he has introduced since he acquired it.
