Leader of the Wiper Party Kalonzo Musyoka claimed to be responsible for the late President Mwai Kibaki's economic strategy, or "Kibakinomics," being successful.

Kalonzo stated that he had significantly guided the economy's expansion while serving as vice president under Mwai Kibaki.

William Ruto has allegedly stated that he wishes to apply economics akin to Kibaki's. "I was Kibaki's deputy for five years, and he forgets that," Kalonzo remarked.

"Who do you think was driving Kibakinomics? I was the Principal assistant to President Kibaki when the economy of this country grew substantially at about 7% of GDP."

The leader of the Wiper Party, who referred to himself as "the face of a struggle," attacked President Ruto on Wednesday during an interview with Spice FM for levying harsh taxes on Kenyans.

He added that the Kenya Kwanza government will fall because of the taxes.

"The taxes do not add up. The taxes are what will drive out President Ruto and Kenya Kwanza home if they do not listen," warned the Wiper Party leader.

Kalonzo went on to say that eliminating the housing levy would be his first executive order if he were elected president.

He said, "If elected president, I would abolish the housing tax as my first executive order."

The former vice president suggested that there are better ways to address the country's debt than taxing Kenyans excessively.

Instead, he said, there ought to be a discussion to renegotiate the debt.
