Police officers in Uganda have arrested a 34-year-old man for butchering his nine-year-old nephew and giving the remains to his wife to cook.
The man, a Ntungamo District native, allegedly committed the heinous act on Sunday, January 14, before handing his wife the remains of his elder brother's son in a saucepan.
According to reports, the suspect's wife raised the alarm after discovering that her husband had been serving up his nephew, attracting the attention of nearby locals, who responded at the site and positively recognized the corpse.

The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. Rubaare Sub-County District Councillor John Kabeho told the Monitor that the suspect ruthlessly murdered his family members when his wife was out.
"The suspect was left home with the child while his wife and his child went to church. When the wife returned from church, her husband told her that he had bought some meat and it was in a sauce pan in the kitchen. He instructed the wife to cook it immediately because he was hungry," said Mr. Kabeho.
"When the wife entered the kitchen, she found chopped pieces of human meat in the pan."
While stating that inquiries into the event are currently ongoing, the Councillor said that the suspect has a history of mental instability.
