Single parents are frequently stigmatized and blamed for their family system. These are the parents who stayed after their relationship ended. There could be several reasons for this.

traditional societal norms consider a nuclear family, which includes a mother, father, and children, to be the ideal family structure. Single parents, by description, don't fit this mould and may be considered outliers.

Kids raised by single parents are at a disadvantage compared to kids raised by two parents. This misconception is due to the belief that single-parent families cannot offer the same financial and emotional support as two-parent families. On the other hand, children that are raised by single mothers can operate equally well as kids raised by two-parent families if presented in a caring and supportive environment.

Single mothers, in particular, are commonly stigmatized as promiscuous or reckless. This perspective assumes that single mothers must have become pregnant outside of marriage or are incapable of maintaining a stable relationship. However, this stereotype is not always correct and ignores the complexities of particular situations.

Single mums are perceived as "just under" because they do not have the assistance of a partner. Because they're viewed as incapable of coping with the difficulties of parenting, this can lead to social and cultural blame. This notion is not only unjust but also incorrect. Single parents can raise their children the same way as other parents, but they commonly face greater emotional and financial challenges.

Single parents are frequently targets of discrimination and bias, making it difficult for them to find housing, work, and other resources. This can make it even more difficult for them to provide for their children, perpetuating the cycle of poverty and disadvantage.
