Ledama Olekina, a senator from Narok, has refuted rumors that the Azimio la Umoja Coalition is divided.

This is in response to a report on the Nation that described how the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report, published in November 2023, caused a rift in the coalition.

During a Monday discussion on Citizen TV's daybreak, the Narok Senator rejected the report, claiming that Azimio's opponents had funded it.

"You see sensational headlines like which way Azimio and you can tell that these are being sponsored by people who want to see a division," said Ledama.

Ledama said that Azimio is still strong.

"ODM is a political party, a national party, and a very strong party in that sense," commented Ledama.

He also urged Azimio's constituent party members to stick to the party's rules and maintain their strength.

Ledama declared, "Having membership in ODM or Azimio means that you have to preach Azimio."

A rift emerged in Azimio over the NADCO report, as DAP-K's Eugene Wamalwa and Martha Karua, the leader of the Narc Kenya party, disregarded it.
