The application for 2024's Equity Group’s Wings to Fly scholarship program has attracted 56,000 students.

Out of this, only 1,000 learners studies will be supported by the lender.

Annually, the initiative offers full scholarships for the students throughout their high school studies.

“You have within your ability and capability the future you want to see your dreams are valid,“ the group’s CEO James Mwangi said.

“The wings to fly program gives you a chance to change your circumstances, and to change your life. This scholarship caters for your tuition, boarding fees, books, uniform, transport and pocket money for the 4 years of secondary school,” he added.

The Foundation has been the implementing partner for the government-led Elimu Scholarship program, which has benefited 27,000 scholars over a period of three years.

It is in partnership with the German Government through KfW, Mastercard Foundation, USAID, UKAid, private institutions, and individuals.

To date, there have been 60,009 scholarships over a period of 15 years, according to Equity.
